MouthShut Review on Indian Restaurant - Chennai - Madras

Today, I read review about Indian Restaurant - Chennai - Madras on MouthShut – the consumer review website.

During my recent visit to Muscat, I had been to famous Indian Brand Restaurant like Saravana Bhavan & Woodlands.

No doubt, they have managed to establish branches/franchises across the world,
but forgot to keep up their core competency, USP “Authentic Food”.

I had been to Saravana Bhavan for lunch and ordered for the Thali meal. The food was pathetic. Hardly any vegetables they used, but managed to serve the meal with several cost effective items. The quality of Chappathi /poori, rice was not good. The rasam & vatha kozhambu was very bad. The food hygeine and sanitation were very poor.

The best part about Indian Restaurant - Chennai - Madras is only a satisfaction of knowing were we can get South Indian food.

Rating: 2/5.

MouthShut Review on Lotus Pond Park - Hyderabad Amusement Park

Today, I read review about Lotus Pond Park - Hyderabad Amusement Park on MouthShut – the consumer review website.

Lotus Pond is one such Lake named after the magnificent national flower that used to grow in plenty here, well now, all you see is the plants and the leaves but hardly any lotus in the pond, may be the rains will bring some. The oval shaped water body is situated right in the heart of Banjara Hills, Road No 12, MLA colony.

The beauty of this natural spot is just tucked amidst the concrete jungle surrounding it and surviving all of the man made impediments. The pond is spread over around 10-12 acres and is encircled by lush green trees, colourful gardens and a beautiful 1-1/5 km concrete pathway with breaks in between of green patches and muddy ones too. The uneven track makes for a exhausting work-out for the early morning walkers. You may have to obeisance your head at a place, "Bow your Head to Nature", as one of the tree’s trunk shapes into an arch. And you may find one or two Snake pits too on the path, not to worry of snakes, But who knows, Try coming on Naga panchami...lol.

Early morning hours as the sun rays play around, you get a chance to watch the Pristine Lake amidst lush green flora, bright colorful birds chirping, air laden with delicate scent of foliage and clean air. It is a pleasure to see the number of fish when you put your hand in the waters and feel like you can catch a hand full of them!

The best part about Lotus Pond Park - Hyderabad Amusement Park is Clean, Quite, Eco-friendly.

Rating: 4/5.

MouthShut Review on Rise and Fall of the Third Reich - William L. Shirer

Today, I read review about Rise and Fall of the Third Reich - William L. Shirer on MouthShut – the consumer review website.

World War II was without doubt one of the most horrific and bloody wars in history with 60 million casualties and it was also the most significant events in world history. It was WW II that led to the
proliferation of Communism, the Cold War, the invention of the nuclear bomb and many other important events. And at the root of all this was the ambition of one man, an Austrian corporal who dreamt of Aryan supremacy and world domination. The story of the second world war is the story of the most dangerous man who ever lived – Adolf Hitler.

The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich documents the story of the second world war, right from the birth of Hitler till his death and the end of the war. The author of this epic book is William Shirer, a journalist who spent many years in Germany and who extensively covered the war. This book is without doubt one of the best and most authoritative works on the second war (next only to Sir Winston Churchill’s five book series, which won him the Nobel Prize for literature).

The best part about Rise and Fall of the Third Reich - William L. Shirer is

Today, I read review about Barbeque Nation - Pune Restaurant on MouthShut – the consumer review website.

One of the very few restaurents in the country which offeres the customer the option of "live grill". Well, you have the option to make your food and add your flavour. Let me take you through the details. Also, for those who are not familiar with the term Barbecue - " Its a process where in meat is cooked by the smoke of hardwood fire at low temperature (210 degree or less) for a long period and the doneness is determined by the tenderness of the meat"
So, ready to walk with me - In Pune, it is in the Nagar Road, after Yerwada and adjacent to Dass Electricals. The interior of the hotel resemble the European Country Dining experience with lot of wood and exposed brick walls.
We choose the right time -Till January 18, they are hosting "Barbeques of the world food festival" - which means, the starters served will be even more special. So, anyone who want to take chance, can rush.

Veggies - here is you go, skewered hors d’oeuvre grilled with sweet and spicy tapioca, Carolina Mustard Chilly Zucchini and pepper, cajun spiced potatoes, Panneer Malai Tikka and Tahini Mushrooms.
And Carnivourous creatures like me - take a ride through Yomen Caribbean barbeque chicken, Egyptian Lamb Kofta, Calypso Fish, Chermoula Prawns, Spicy Pataya Chicken Cakes and Peshwari Tangdi Kebabs.

Tips from Chef Sajit -
My way of cooking will be completed with the careful array of marinades on your table with extra virgin olive oil with a bit of butter topping. Another tip - Dip this to Garlic Mayo. Now, it is ready to go to your mouth.

MouthShut Review on Animal Farm - George Orwell

Today, I read review about Animal Farm - George Orwell on MouthShut – the consumer review website.

The book was published during the time of Second World War. As a result of the war, there was a shortage of paper. This inturn resulted in the limited editions of the book. There were only a few copies published at the time. Also, the book was titled as Animal Farm: A Fairy Story, by Orwell. Only the Telugu edition of the book retained its full name. The name was cshotened by the publishers because they considered there was no market for children’s story.(Fairy Story usually points to children’s story). There was also a rumour that one of the charecters resembles Stalin. Orwell told this openly to the public. All these led to the success of the book. But unfortunately Orwell died in January 1950.

The best part about Animal Farm - George Orwell is NICE STORY AND CLEAN PRESENTATION.

MouthShut Review on Alice in Wonderland - 2010 Hollywood Movie

Today, I read review about Alice in Wonderland - 2010 Hollywood Movie on MouthShut – the consumer review website.

Lewis Carroll’s genius in Alice In Wonderland (AIW) is matched perhaps only by Jefferson Airplane’s outstanding song White Rabbit and its singing by Grace Slick. The song ranks as one of the most befitting tributes by an artist to another. For me its hard to think about one work without thinking of the other. So it comes as a surprise that Tim Burton chose to make his version of "Alice In Wonderland" without taking the benefit of music tailormade for AIW.

Mia Wasikowska plays a 20 year old Alice who doesn’t like wearing corsettes and stockings. She is being proposed to by Hamish, a suitor with orange hair and funny set of dentals. She cant decide what to do and so she follows the White Rabbit down the ....you guessed it... the hole...into Wonderland, the place she had visited 13 years ago in her dreams. So its actually Alice Back in Wonderland rather than Alice in Wonderland. What follows is a cocktail of the book, its sequel and Burton’s own inventions.

The best part about Alice in Wonderland - 2010 Hollywood Movie is The Characters, Acting by Depp/Carter, Animation.
