Review on - Micromax A60

Today, I read review about Micromax A60 on MouthShut.com – the consumer review website.

Micromax and Indian Mobile Company has expanded its reach to tap android phone 2.1 operated mobile telephones in India. It has launched its New mobile phone with really cheap cost of Rs6999/-,beating its nearest rival Samsung Galaxy which is available at a cost of Rs 9000/-

Various Operating systems In India: Due to domination of Nokia in India most of us are not aware of what is an operating software(OS) for a mobile phone. Nokia has been using ’Simian’ Operating system which it uses in its high end as well as cheap mobile phones. Later with introduction of Windows phone we came to know ’Window’ as OS recently facing completion Window has launched its mobile version of ’ Window-7’ OS.. Research In Motion(RIM) better know by its Brand BlackBerry uses OS as its operating system, Its latest launch is OS6 operating system. Samsung launched its ’VADA’ Operating system vada means ’Sea" in Korean Language. But most exciting Mobile OS in India is Android Launched by Google. Android is an Open source OS that means its freeely available to use while for other mobile OS you have to pay .

What is Android OS: Android includes a set of core libraries that provides most of the functionality available in the core libraries of the Java programming language. Every Android application runs in its own process, with its own instance of the Dalvik virtual machine. Dalvik has been written so that a device can run multiple VMs efficiently. The Dalvik VM executes files in the Dalvik Executable (.dex) format which is optimized for minimal memory footprint. The VM is register-based, and runs classes compiled by a Java language compiler that have been transformed into the .dex format by the included "dx" tool.
The Dalvik VM relies on the Linux kernel for underlying functionality such as threading and low-level memory management..
In simple words like a computer it can be used to do many task same time. you can edit your clips and chat .

Review on Karde Beach - Mouthshut.com

Today, I read review about Karde Beach on MouthShut.com – the consumer review website.

Great beaches at Karde, Anjarle and Harnai

I had been to Karde 4-5 years back as a bachelor. I remembered it as a place where you could have the whole beach just to yourself (and may be a stray dog :-). When I went back there (with family) this weekend, the place was almost the same - like frozen in time. Same great beach, same shy and helpful people, tiny villages, cool breezes, same great food but also the same bad and narrow roads and a bit more of the crowd. I wish this place stays as much same as possible because that’s it’s beauty.

We started from Pune on Friday early morning. Our plan was to reach Karde by lunch time. There are 3 routes from Pune to Karde:

- Satara Road - Bhor phata - Bhor - Varandha ghat - Mahad - Dapoli - Karde (190 kms)
- Paud - Mulshi - Mangaon - Lonere phata - Goregaon - Mandangad - Dapoli - Karde (205 kms)
- Satara Road - Wai - Mahabaleshwar - Poladpur - Khed - Dapoli - Karde (250 kms)

(Mumbai folks can take the second route - reach Mangaon using Expressway and/or NH-17 aka Goa highway)

Although the Bhor/Varandha ghat route is the shortest, the road in Varandha ghat is in a really bad shape and that would increase travel time. But its okay if one is driving a 4WD or a big vehicle (e.g. jeep or SUV). It’s also eerily empty at places and hence not advised after dark or before dawn. On the good side, there are many beautiful sights like Bhatghar dam and Shivatirthgad on the way.

Good things about Karde Beach
Great beach, good food, less crowded

Bad things about Karde Beach
Approach road is bad
