Review on Nokia E63

Today, I read Review about Nokia E63 on Mouthshut.com – The Consumer Review Website

I had Sony Ericcsson W 700i which I have been using for last 24 months and still feel it`s not obselete untill I felt the need for bigger screen and better typing speed. I also needed Push mail like the Blackberry. My addiction with mouthshut.com needed to be satisfied with an better enabled set in which commenting should be a cakewalk through a QWERT key pad.

I got it ALL here.

It has infinite functions and I was getting mad for last one month exploring it fully. But, still I need to explore more.... I shall explain in very brief which I use regularly.

PUSHMAIL
I just needed to put user id and passwords for my Yahoo and Gmail account and Nokia C
View next photo onfiguration took care of everything. Within no time it got successfully configured. As a welcome note, I received a welcome mail on my Yahoo and G mail accounts about the successful configuration. It was a unique feel as for the first time I was seeing my mail on a mobile set. While I was doing some other settings I received a mail from MS that @paulsb02 has sent me a gift and a link to see that !!. I had even the option to reply that.

WLAN
I have a wireless Broadband connection from BSNL. Within a minute it also got automatically configured. I just needed to put the Network key once. The speed of the net is awesome. In this huge cold in Chandigarh, I felt like heaven commenting on MS posts being inside a quilt and with great speed of submission.

KEYBOARD
The Ergonomics is a great feel good and it`s a true cakewalk using the FULL QWERT pad. Initially I was little uncomfortable but in few days my typing speed on this keypad is at par with my laptop keypad. It, like a computer consists of a `Ctrl` key `Space` `backspace` and some more specific keys which are very handy. Also if I long press the space bar the LED Flashlight becomes ON and it`s too powerful flash. The backlight on this keypad is satisfactory.

PHONEBOOK
It`s a phone where a normal feature like the Phonebook itself is so impressive. I have created many contact groups with specific ringtones attached to it. I have added videos to some of the contacts and individual ringtone. I just downloaded the Airtel Theme song from Youtube and the set converted it into the ringtone with the highest quality.
It also has option for setting preference to Incoming calls like `Receive only Phonebook contacts` or receive all or blacklist some number.
The sound reception is loud and clear, be it through the earpiece or through the Loudspeaker... no interference and the best quality. The Vibration is strong.

MESSAGING
It`s an another plus on this phone. Due to the QWERT keypad it`s much fast to type. Audio message can be attached as a MMS( I record my own voice at times and send). Sending a message to many is so easy. On Makar Sankranti a sent a message to 367 contacts in one go. SMS pack toh poora vasool kar leta hun. I keep sending customized `I Love you` message to my wife in no time and she thinks I spend a lot of time typing it . Wish, she doesnot read this review...lol.

MUSICPLAYER
Another plus.Stereo Widening and Five equalisers create an effect that I feel the sound is coming from a bigger music player. I keep my music player on as multitasking is effective here. I keep my Opera Mini for MS on and at the background this wonderful music on. I have many wonderful tracks through the OVI application which I got free while purchasing.

Review on Death in the Air - Agatha Christie

Today, I read Review about Death in the Air - Agatha Christie on Mouthshut.com – The Consumer Review Website

So many reviews of so many books of Agatha Christie here on MS finally succeeded in alluring me to pick one of her book and that turned out to be Death in the Air(DITA) as I wanted to start with lesser known work. Now, when you start reading a book from an author such as Agatha Christie, expectations are very high and one is bound to be lot more critical (that’s the price a writer has to pay for being famous and renowned). So, did DITA provide me with enthralling tale and hair raising experience? Well, the answer is both YES and NO. Read the review for the answer of the most important word coming to your mind now: WHY?

ABOUT THE STORY: In an airliner called ‘Prometheus’ from Le Bourget (France) to Croydon (England) an unusual event occurs while flying over the English Channel. A woman named Madame Giselle is murdered coldly with the venom dipped dart of a South African blow-pipe. The event was unusual considering that that none of 12 passengers in the rear car, where the murder happens, noticed anything unusual that could provide some clue towards the murder. In addition, there’re 2 stewards and they also are clueless about it. And the most unusual thing about the whole affair is that the master detective Hercule Poirot was sitting just 15 feet away from the victim.

Such are the circumstances within which begins one of the mystery tale of Agatha Christie’s (AC) : ‘Death in the Air’. After the murder, starts the investigation with joint effort of English and French police. Discovery of the blowpipe under the seat of Poirot raises early suspicion towards him, which inspector Japp of English police immediately discards for having known Poirot for so long. And this suspicion adds further to motivate Poirot to resolve the case and find the killer.

Madame Giselle turns out to be money lender who loaned money to rich people keeping their secret information as security. So the killer could be someone who might have borrowed some money from her. Now leaving, Poirot, there were 12 more persons on plane, including 2 stewards, who could have killed Giselle. With suspects from quite a varying professions and classes like : Famous French archeologist Duponts, father and son, English dentist Norman Gale; A Business Jesse Ryder, A Novelist Clancy; Lady Horbury or Veneta Kerr famous and rich ladies; Jane Grey the Beautician; Dr Bryant, a famous doctor.

Review on Bade Acche Lagte Hain

Today, I read Review about Bade Acche Lagte Hain on Mouthshut.com – The Consumer Review Website.
I do watch television and am very fond of talent hunt shows, but this is one of the few daily soap that is able to keep me interested. There are certain aspects of this serial that I really love so thought of sharing it all with you.

The Serial

The serial portrays the story of middle-aged couple, played by Ram Kapoor & Sakshi Tanwar. It is directed by Partho Mitra and Muzammil Desai and is produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor (Balaji Telefilms Ltd.).

This TV show holds the record of longest ever title by an Indian Television Show- ’Bade Acche Laggte Hai... Yeh Dharti,Yeh Nadiya,Yeh Rainna Aur Tum...’

Story

If I have to explain the story in one line, I would say that it is the story of two older people falling in love, that too after marriage.

The main male lead is a 40 plus years old entrepreneur. He is leading businessman of India who handles the business after his father’s death. He lives with his stepmother and stepbrothers and finds happiness in making his family happy. Though his family doesn’t care for him and uses him for his money.

The main female lead is a 30+ very mature lady and takes tuitions to support her family. She is a happy-go-lucky woman who is very comfortable on her own.

Both of them bumped into each other through a minor car accident that hurts their ego more then the vehicle. The misunderstandings, miscommunications and certain other factors resulted into their marriage. This story mainly portrays the relation between these two main leads.

Casts and performances

Ram Kapoor plays the role of main male protagonist (Ram Kapoor). He is wonderful actor and I don’t think anybody else can justify this role better than him. He acts naturally as a leading businessman.

Sakshi Tanwar as Priya Sharma/ Kapoor (The main female protagonist) is the best part of this serial. I have not seen him before but have read that she is a very senior actress. Her mannerism and characterization is quite impressive. Whenever she is on screen she stole all of it with her profound presence.

Prithvi as Sudhir Sharma (Priya’s father) plays the role of very loving, caring and understanding father. The way of his talking is very sweet and is really impressive.

Renuka Israni as Shipra Sharma (Priya’s mother) is very beauty-conscious, always calls herself as Ex-Bhubaneswar and runs a boutique. She considers money as the top priority and can easily be impressed by costly gifts, status, power etc. She seems to be overacting sometime otherwise she justify her role.

Mohit Malhotra of Splitsvilla fame as Karthik Sharma (Priya’s brother) portrays a role of caring younger brother of Priya. I don’t like the way he delivers his dialogue. His acting (sometime seems that he is still on Splitsvilla) clearly signifies that he will remain a soap opera actor.

Review on Force Songs Reviews

Today, I read Review about Force Songs Reviews on Mouthshut.com – The Consumer Review Website.

Force movie’s music has been released on 29th August’11. And after a long time John Abraham is appearing on the big screen. The film is a remake of the super hit Tamil movie,

KAAKHA KAAKHA, and music of the original film, composed by Harris Jayaraj was a super duper success. Now let’s check the music status of Force.

Harris Jayaraj & Lalit Pandit are the music directors of this movie & lyrics by our favorite Mr. Javed Akhtar. This album has five songs.

Album opens with the song Khwabon Khwabon sang by KK & Suchitra. Basically it’s a solo song sang by KK but it has some Arabic touches by Suchitra. It’s like some special effects in the song. Lyrics are very good & kind of poetic.

Music is very soft & at the same time it is rocking also. Due to fast & rocking type of music you may not feel the magic of lyrics but if we listen the song carefully; we will find the damn good poetry in this song.

Next track is “Chahoo Bhi” is a very romantic number sang by Karthik & Bombay Jayashree. Lyrics again by Javed Sahab. Music of this song is too melodious & ear soothing. Lyrics of this song is very simple but very heart touching.Next number is Dum Hai toh Aaja is a very rocking number of this movie. Tempo is very high from starting to ending of this song. Very inspirational song & based on the situation of challenge. Very nicely sang by Mahua Kamat.

Review on Hyundai i20

Today, I read Review about Hyundai i20 on Mouthshut.com – The Consumer Review Website.

Dear All,

Purposely I delayed this review, because I wanted to learn more about the car and give more inputs from my side.

I was researching for a new car since last 1 year. I owned Tata
Indigo GLX model. I wanted to buy a new car with budget of around 6Lacs. I researched a lot on internet for vehicles. Finally I decided to go for i20. The major criteria for selecting the car was its looks, performance and HYUNDAI tag.

I received the beauty on 17th Oct. 2010. I liked the car so much that in first day only I completed 200 kms.

Today, at the time of writing review, I have clocked 21500 kms in 10 months, with 3 servicing completed.

Interiors are very nice, especially dual tone dashboard. It brings reach feel. 2-din mp3 player with 4 speakers and 2 tweeters are also good, and gives reach sound. Nice setup of audio system. Steering mounted audio controls are as well good, to keep your eyes on road every time. Inside space is also good, at least more than swift. AC is good, not great because in hot summers, it does not cool you immediately. At least 3-5 minutes needed for pleasant cooling. One new feature is added to the model is manual shift indicator, which helps driver to decide when a gear should be changed (down or up shift).

Exteriors are as well good. Don’t have to tell about those. The car looks cute. Additional feature is electrical opening and closing of ORVM & electrical adjustment. ORVMs have side indicators.

Performance : The real game comes here. (Let me tell you, I have petrol version.) I was new to the electronic power steering (EPS) concept. So, took some odd 5 kms to learn about the new system. In city driving, the EPS works pretty fine. on highways also you wont feel like tired. The good system. Breaks are good, only front disk breaks; hyundai would have added disks to rear as well. Pick up is good. Havent felt lag anywhere except 2nd gear. I dont know, but 2nd gear has less pick up compared to others. Overtaking is easy else. Got to know that 0-100kmph is 12.9 secs noy 13.2 secs.
One thing with EPS is, whenever u’ll put ur vehicle in pot-hole, steering gets automatically turned if you are not holding it some tight. Suspensions are really good. You will feel pot-holes unless u’ll put your vehicle in big one. Overall ride quality is good. After lot many trips, I didnt feel tired.

Review on UNO

Today, I read Review about UNO on Mouthshut.com – The Consumer Review Website.

Introduction:

"I no u lyk me......
UNO i lyk u....
Lets get 2-get-her grrrl...
UNO u want 2...."

Now, thats what I call a magical song. It solved my long ensuing problem. Everytime (I literally mean every) I travel by Golden Temple, I have to face a situation, which goes like -
"Seep Khelenge?"
"Arey Sardaarji, nahin aata mujhe seep weep, nahin aata! Pareshaan kar ke rakha hai. Maaf kardo mujhe.."
"Seep nahin aata? Kamaal hai! Ek toh Seep nahin aata, oopar se attitude dikhaa rahaa hai, cards khein hai Zindagi mein kabhie?"
"Phew! Let it Go Sirji. I am sorry"

That one time, after such an encounter, I plugged in my IPod, streched myself and stared above at the vent cooling my head ..
"Rabbaaa tu itna bataa de,.....
Haan bata de rabba,...
Ki karaaa...
Mein, hunn ki karaa ve..
Haan bataa de Rabba....."

What followed on my playlist was that magical song. I thanked the Almighty. I waited for Sardarji to finish his meal. I dialled a calling card and waited for the right ANSWER.

"Sardarji, UNO khelenge?"
Since then, it is the card game for me. UNO, literally means 1-one, I WONNN!

Description, Methods & Rules:

Good Luck, play your cards right. Now, decide who will hold all the cards. I mean, a sort of referee, in case of just-around-the-corner disputes. I am sure you don’t want to see a punch blown to a nose or some hair plucked with a sudden zap. Prevention is better than cure

Always ensure counting the cards before the game begins. There should be 112 cards. Keep aside 4 blank cards out of these, it might come handy in case,if, any card is lost. There are 4 different colour cards: Red, Blue, Green and Yellow. 25 cards of each colour - 19 printed with numeral 0 to 9 & two each printed with Skip, Reverse and +2 draw. Now, there are 8 special cards. 4 are the most reverend or dreaded of the entire lot and 4 are which will save your honour. Aaj Kahan Munh Kaaala kar aaye Sunil Baabooooo? Badiyaa Hai...Those fantastic 4s are printed with +4 Draw Wild and honour saviours read Wild. Shout Panchkotti Mahaamani, lets play UNO. Doesn’t rhyme No? Oh, No! Now, it does.

Its a 7+ game. Damn the rule book. Whiz kids (5+) can also join. Remember, the sole objective of this game is to get rid of all the cards that would be dealt to you. So, all the jaccha-baccha, mausi-maami, taai-bhai, fuppi-baazi, aapa-papas etc b4u 9xm- Haq se can now lay their cards on the table.
Make an honest pledge that all will remain calm and seated until the safety alarm is switched off.

Roll up your sleeves Dealer and count how many players are there. You can trust your instincts now.(Hatt Buddhhu) First, distribute cards (say N>6 to each) and set the direction of the game A--> B--> C-->A (assuming three players). Don’t ask me which one is the dealer. Grrrrr!

Review on Remember Me - Mary Higgins Clark

Today, I read Review about Remember Me - Mary Higgins Clark on Mouthshut.com – The Consumer Review Website.

A BRIEF BACKGROUND: Though I have already reviewed a novel written by Ms. Mary Higgins Clark, I realize many readers may not have heard much about her or read any of her novels.

Therefore, before embarking on yet another review of one of her books, a brief resume of her life and achievements is, I think necessary. Mary Higgins Clark has authored fifteen novels and three collections of short stories. Born and brought up in New York City, she has served as the President of Mystery Writers of America. She lives in New Jersey.

Ms. Clark’s novels have always intrigued me by their manoeuvring plots, realistic characterization and engaging story telling. So one fine afternoon when I have little or nothing to do I rummage my sister’s book rack to lay hands upon another of Clark’s twisting and turning plots. The title tickles me -“Remember Me”? Misleadingly the suggestion of love and romance associated with such a dramatic caption does evoke pictures of moonlit nights and fragranceful breeze but the imagery soon falls flat as the first chapter itself acts as a curtain raiser on the tortuous story of the protagonist torn between a harrowing past and a horrifying present. Will she survive the catastrophe?

THE PLOT: Remember Me is the story of Menley and Adam. Adam is a successful lawyer while Menley is a children’s story writer. They have a little infant girl called Hannah. The story begins at a point where both Menley and Adam are struggling to get over the traumas of their painful past. They select the serene vistas of Cape Cod Island to smoothen the rough patches of their marital life. Adam rents Remember House, an eighteenth century landmark, to spend the vacation with Menley and Hannah, little knowing that the sinister past of the house will soon be destroying the tranquillity of their present.

While on vacation, Adam takes up the case of one Mr. Stephen Covey who is suspected of murder when his wife drowns in a violent sea storm. Thereafter, Adam and Menley know no peace. As Adam gets more and more involved in the case he finds lesser and lesser time for his wife and child. His absences from the house triggers Menley’s depressive imagination. Nevertheless, Menley desperately tries to recover from the after effects (read shock) of the accidental death of her first born, Bobby, for which she holds herself responsible. But instead of regaining her mental equilibrium, she finds herself reliving the tormenting past again and again in the gloomy recesses and dark corridors of Remember House. As the scenes from the past get re-enacted again and again in the dead of the night to which Menley is the only witness, at times, it appears that Remember House has a persona of its own. But Adam feels that Menley’s mental health is deteriorating and she needs immediate psychiatric attendance. At this critical juncture, Adam finds sympathy and solace in his childhood friend Elaine Atkins who goes all out of her way to ensure that Adam’s married life is saved from further disaster.

But will Elaine be able to save Adam and Menley’s marriage? Is Adam making a mistake in defending Stephen Covey who is not as innocent as he seems? Will Menley be able to get over her past and lead a happy, normal life ever? Or will Remember House with its tenebrous history spell doom for Menley, Adam and Hannah? These are the questions which will find answers in the storm swept beaches of Cape Cod against the shadowy silhouettes of Remember House in Clark’s novel “Remember Me”.

Review on Ved Vyas Ke Pote

Today, I read Review about Ved Vyas Ke Pote on Mouthshut.com – The Consumer Review Website.

I would certainly like to review and remember and watch this serial again which goes by the name "Ved Vyas Ke Pote".I don’t know how many of you have actually watched this serial, but I have witnessed each and every episode of this series, again it belongs to time when you have end to a serial, unlike today’s serials. This series was directed by well-known writer-director Lalit Behl, who also wrote it, and I can call this serial’s story as the best innovative story and thought.

NOTE: I was looking to write the review on this serial from long back, and was searching content related to its production/technical team/cast and crew members, so as to support my review, but was unable to find much information on it over internet, so I just decided to atleast write a review without much mention of names, which I didn’t remember.

The plot of the serial goes like this - There are 3 brothers, smallest one was named Bhim Vyas (Rohitash Gaud, if you remember Mukundi Lal Gupta of Lapataganj, or terrorist Iqlaque Ahmed from the movie "A Wednesday"). They have their own business of book-binding in their peaceful city (I forgot the name) in Rajasthan. But the smaller brother Bhim always try to do something funny. One fine day, they went to Varanasi, for the "mundan ceremony" of one of the child of family, and there they come to know about their ancestors lineage, which track back towards the ancient time of Mahabharata, and they came to know that they all are actually offsprings of the famous Ved Vyas, who wrote the epic Mahabharata. The funny fact was till this current generation, everytime there is only one offspring, this time they are 3. After coming back to their hometown, they (because of Bhim’s mind) put a case in court over BR Chopra (whose Mahabharata serial was coming on TV those days), for the claim of Royalty, since Mahabharata was actually written by Ved Vyasa, and they are his offspring, so by the rule, their family should get the royalty. Hence come a lawyer in picture (played by director Lalit Behl), who fought from their side, and many issues rose over the the Copyright law - like, what is the correct duration after which you cannot claim over copyright infringement. The serial was ended without a solution, as the director wants to put this question in front of Indian junta, so that they will decide what is correct and what is not, although in the form of a lawyer, director Lalit Behl put a great fight, and question in front of Indian law. And I forgot to mention a very important but funny character of the serial, who was called Samay, the narrator (Zakir Hussain, I hope you all remember this great artist), whose work is to come at the beginning and the end of an episode to brief about the story, and his starting was with this line, "Main Samay Hoon", just like Mahabharata’s narrator’s starting (I think its name was Om or Shoonya).

Review on Fiesta - Ernest Hemingway

Today, I read Review about Fiesta - Ernest Hemingway on Mouthshut.com – The Consumer Review Website

To love and be loved and yet not to get the fulfillment; never to realize the satisfaction of it. There are people who do everything possible to keep their loved ones at ease; who love them like nothing else exist on the face of the earth, worth deserving of their love – yet their partner leaves them. Then there are those, like ‘BRETT’, who get all the love and care from their partner and still they can’t resist the attraction of others; they are wandering minds who are destined never to get fulfillment. ‘Fiesta’ is a story of Love, Hatred and Passions of such people, of both kinds, and of many other kinds, not mentioned.

ABOUT THE STORY: Fiesta is a tale of a group of young people that represents the generation that lived in Europe in between the two World Wars, later known as ‘The Lost Generation’.

Jake Barnes, the protagonist and the narrator of the story, is an American Journalist living in Paris. Jake is sexually impotent due to some injury that he acquires in war. Jake loves Brett, his one time girlfriend but now separated, because of his impotency, on his part, and her dissolute nature towards other men, on her. Jake still love her and it shows in his care and protectiveness towards her. He is the one Brett always relies on, in times of need. He drinks, but he’s not a drunkard.

Brett Ashley is the only female character of the story and apparently it revolves around her. She, apart from being the ex-girlfriend of Jake, is the love interest of almost all the chief male characters in the story. Brett lives life on her own terms and enjoys it to the fullest. She never hesitates to hang around with multiple men simultaneously and often breaks their hearts. She’s engaged to Mike. She drinks quite a lot.

Mike is Brett’s to be husband, from their attitudes it seems to be more of a compromise type of relation. Mike doesn’t seem to mind Brett’s unfaithfulness. He’s a bankrupted wealthy man and a biggest drunkard of them all and he doesn’t mind spending all money he’s left with on boozing and hang in around. He hates Robert Cohen.

Robert Cohn is one time boxer and now trying his hand at writing. He is secretive and mean in nature. He is also in love with Brett, and is ready to leave his soon to be wife for her. He follows Brett everywhere and is the object of hate of all for it and also for being a Jew, and I ain’t sure whether I dislike him more or pity him more. He don’t drink that much.
